So, these happened last night.
My current favorite thing that FT makes: Buffalo Chicken Burgers. Served with, of course, homemade blue cheese sauce. Shit. Is. SLAMMIN:’.
I decided on Friday night, after a delicious dinner @ Woodberry that included what was probably The Most Delicious Sandwich Ever Concocted (country ham, buttered bread, pickled shallots and chives - then, if you’re lucky, you die), I decided on bourbon for dessert. I wanted to try something new, and Old Scout was suggested. I enjoyed it a great deal, and since I’m not big on notes and barrels and how amber something is and all that, I’ll just say it reminded me of Booker’s, which I love, but, well, smoother and more ambly. All in all, a successful dessert bourboning.
Needed something bubbly for a celebration, so I headed to the good ol’ Wine Source. They had a little sign hanging on this bottle that said, “No Brainer,” which is exactly the kind of clear direction a non-connoisseur like myself appreciates. And it was! Totally yummy, at least for someone not all that into champagne-y drinks.
My sister didn’t love it, but then she eats hot cereal with mandarin oranges on it, so her opinion is pretty much invalid.
