Heard her do this bit on This American Life recently. It was the funniest effin’ thing I’ve heard in a long time.

Fox Bought A Comedy Based On A This American Life Segment

Fox has bought a multi-camera comedy pitch based on the “Deal of a Lifetime” segment of the documentary program, with Horrible Bosses co-writer Jonathan Goldstein writing. Titled The Man Upstairs, the comedy centers on a young woman who buys a house that is advertised as a “deal of a lifetime,” but there’s one catch: the house comes along with the elderly man who owns it.
I’m immediately listening to this story, which has an even more enticing description:
Sarah Koenig tells the story of how her stepsister Rue bought a house and moved in—but the former owner did not move out. And won’t move out, until he dies.
Any chance the TV people won’t fuck it up?

Update: Now that I’m listening and hear Ned’s (the old man) voice I’m getting a Love, Sidney vibe here. I was imagining a mean crotchety old man, but he’s more, well, dapper sounding. :o)
